something out of nothing

my favorite time of day, you ask? dusk. the time when anything standing in front of the setting sun is made endlessly captivating by the mystery of it's black silhouette. the time when not every detail is given away by light.

palm trees are my usual object of desire but i just about fell over onto the gallery floor when i saw this piece from peter wegner's, buildings made of sky, series. brilliant.

interesting color combinations are perpetually inspiring, as are natural occurrences of color, so this post on this site hit the jack pot for me. clearly, poppy and gray is one of my faves but i could get lost gazing at the truly brilliant color of a fresh cut beet for days.
